200 squats - owie!!!
So this week’s “twist” for the Survivor 2 Challenge is to do as many wide-legged squats (plietes?) and push-ups as you can. Since my sorry butt is up for elimination this week, I’m going to really push it and earn as many extra points as I can. I did 200 wide squats, and my legs are like jello. I’ve always loved squats, in a sick sorta way. Due to knee issues, lunges have always been tough for me, but squats just make my legs feel so strong and powerful. That may sound weird, but it’s true. :) Squats have always been a favorite exercise of mine in some twisted way. I did 200 of them (and probably could’ve done more, but I don’t want to make myself really sore or I won’t be able to do that many tomorrow), plus 40 modified push-ups. The thing I’m most excited about, though? I did 4 “man” (i.e., regular/not girly) push-ups!!! When that was our “twist” a few weeks ago, I couldn’t even do a single one. Woo hoo!!! :) I was so excited! I’m going to keep working on them so I can do more of them in a set. I have NEVER in my entire LIFE been able to do a “real” push-up!
I’m PMSing and craving sweets like none other, so this is going to be a tough week for me. I gave in a little today and then felt terrible afterwards. I really want to stay in this challenge, so I don’t know why I gave in. I had 2 mini candy bars, a snack cake, and 2 cookies. Argh! I wasted like 6 WW points, and I only get 28 a day. Oh well … I still have 17 flex points to last me until Saturday morning, so I should be okay. I’m just going to try really hard the rest of this week, and I’m going to start weighing in everyday to keep me motivated. I did exercise 45 min. today and I got all of my water in. Here’s hoping I can do that again tomorrow!

Way to go on the challenge, that is just awesome! We are not gonna let you leave fitness survivor without one hell of a fight. Right?
i am being really careful to not overdo it with the squats. i was so sore with the lunges. now that nosweet week is over at my house, i have had a bit more candy than i should. i also am going to try harder.
You go girlie!!! 200 squats is no joke! I love them too - like you I have knee issues so I hate lunges…but squats I love - plus they do wonders for the bootie…LOL
